Last Sunday morning, several cycling teams take off riding their bikes for six full hours to raise funds for Ovarian Cancer Research. MetroFitness had a designated cycling team at the grit to support this indoor cycling fundraiser. The whole event turned out to be a full success, raising almost 45.000$ - MetroFitness ranking 4th by the money raised. We would like to thank all of the donars and supporters to have contributed to this important cause! We really apprechiate all the support! If you like cycling and fundraising, pencil next year's event into your calendar. It's called "Ready, Set, Ride" and will be a 3 hour cycle ride.
March 10th is the big day for all Zumba enthusiasts: FIVE instructors heat the air for 90 minutes. From 5:35pm our certified Zumba instructors Courtney, Dora, Joy, Mary Kat and Richard will shake and shape your body well in fun style. Enjoy the latino rhythms and dance moves while working out from top to toes. Join the Party!
Metrofitness is hosting its 3rd free nutrition class on March 9, 5-6pm, spearheaded by our registered diatitian Mike Polis. This month's topic "How to fuel your body for performance" will give you a great inside into the best nutrition before and after workout and how to improve performance through the right choice of food. The class is free for Metro members and 10$ guest fee for public.
INSANITY is our answer! Every Monday and Thursday at noon, our Inssanity classes make you train insane for 30 minutes flat - but you feel like having worked out a full hour! Wether you are an athlete, soccer mom or just a weekend warrior, this is your chance to get hooked to a new type of training. The choice is 30 minutes (ideal for members at their lunch break!) and 50 minutes workouts several times a week - check out our schedule for details. Dig deep - train insane! Who's in?
We take booty barre a step further and present you BOOTY BARRE PLUS: Join the class every Tuesday 9:35 am and every Thursday 10:45am and enjoy a fusion of fitness techniques from Dance, Pilates and Yoga. This energetic, fun workout will tone, define and chisel your whole body. The underlying Booty Barre method is the perfect combination of strength and flexibility with added cardio to burn fat fast.
